Leave a Review · A little clarity

A good review habit starts with a good ask.

For busy local businesses, the useful routine is simple: deliver good service, ask every eligible customer neutrally, and make the next step easy.

Pick the right moment

After a completed job, an appointment or a visit, say: “If you have a moment, we’d appreciate your honest feedback. You can use this link or scan the code.” Ask consistently, without screening for satisfaction.

Give them a short route

In your Google Business Profile, choose “Ask for reviews” and copy your review link. Save it in your Leave a Review Settings. Print your QR sign for reception or add the review link to a handover email. Always test the link first.

Let the experience do the talking

Neutral prompts such as “What service did you receive?” and “Was there anything that could be better?” can help. Customers choose their rating and words. Never offer discounts or gifts for a review, write on someone’s behalf, or invent an experience.

Close the loop

Acknowledge praise and respond thoughtfully to concerns. Keep personal details out of public replies. Invite the customer to contact you privately when a conversation needs more detail.
